Abstract

This book contains code examples written in Java for undergraduate students. The code examples explain key object-oriented programming concepts, including variables, data structures, functions, containers, classes, inheritance, interfaces, and exceptions. By reading this book, students will learn techniques for designing programs, understand how to model real-world problems, and manage complexity. Moreover, students will gain problem-solving skills, specifically e cient and elegant problem solving, and acquire debugging and other special programming skills. Another skill that students will acquire by reading this book is good programming style. They will learn how to write robust, e cient, and readable code and the correct way to document and comment on the code. Finally, students will learn the concepts involved in object-oriented programming including classes, inheritance, interfaces, and exceptions. They will get familiar with the concept of data containers, inheritance and polymorphism. Also, they will learn how to control the flow of the program, and how to use functions, virtual functions and pure virtual functions. In the end, they will learn how to work abstract classes, interfaces and exceptions
